My 4 year old can say 1-200

Counting is one of the things early years Parents watch out for, they’re eager to see their children recite numbers in hundreds at home and when family and friends visit.

There are times when Parents change School, simply because they saw children from another school reciting big numbers.

As much as you have a right to your expectations, it is important to note that reciting numbers without identifying it is like going on top speed without a specific destination.

Before you compare your children to another, before you pressurize your child’s teacher, before you change School because “they’re slow” or “they’re not doing anything” give that child you’re looking up to three packets of sweet to ascertain the quantity.

Check if the child can tell the number that precedes and come after a certain number, in no sequential order.

When you focus on understanding, the speed you desire will come with time.
